Question: Will you support public funding for a new Vikings stadium?

NO! Four year ago (before the recession) I spoke out against public funding for the Twins' ballpark. I said then that funding for a major league ballpark should not be on the backs of Hennepin County taxpayers. While Target Field is a great new home for the Twins and I remain a big Twins' fan, I still maintain that the stadium sales tax is a good deal for the team owners and a bad deal for the public. I'll tell the Vikings the same thing, NO!, when they come asking for funding that disproportionately taxes Hennepin County residents.
